Teams

Teams perform better when preferred operating principles are made explicit, roles are understood and members can deal skillfully with conflict as and when it arises.

However, too much attention on process can be just as dangerous as not addressing process issues at all. Working on meaningful and challenging tasks is ultimately how teams learn to work well together and feel good about themselves.

I can improve the effectiveness of teams by helping members understand:

  • the characteristics of high performing teams and how teams differ from working groups and committees
  • the range of team roles members need to be able to play
  • how to address key diagnostic questions related to improving team performance
